Esports Bets Paid in Crypto: Maps, Rounds and Remakes

Sport · Esports

Esports runs on a clock that ignores banking hours, and that is where a crypto cashier earns its place. This page covers the markets that decide CS2, League of Legends, Dota 2 and Valorant bets, what a remake or a technical pause does to a slip, and the event dates organisers have published for this winter.

Crypto esports betting is shaped by the timetable before anything else. This autumn a League of Legends Swiss stage plays out in Texas and a Counter-Strike Major runs in Singapore, a few weeks after a Dota 2 championship in Shanghai. Someone, somewhere, is watching a deciding map at three in the morning, and a bank transfer placed then waits for the next working day. A blockchain does not. That is the practical reason esports and crypto cashiers fit each other: the money side keeps the same hours as the matches.

Why esports suits a crypto cashier

In crypto esports betting, as anywhere else, every withdrawal has two parts. The operator approves it, then the network moves it. The network part does not care whether it is Sunday night. The approval part is set by the operator's terms, and it varies from minutes to days. For esports that split matters more than for football if your habit is many small stakes across a long day of best-of-three series.

Small, frequent stakes change which coin makes sense. A network fee that is trivial on a large deposit can eat a real share of a small one. Before you fund an account for a tournament weekend, check what the chain charges and whether the cashier takes the exact network you plan to use. Our guide to the USDT chains covers the difference between sending the same stablecoin on different networks.

The second point is the price itself. Esports odds move hard between maps, and a live line after map one can look nothing like the pre-match one. If you compare prices across books, convert them into the same format first; the odds converter turns decimal and fractional prices into implied probability.

Four games, two kinds of scoring

Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant are round-based shooters. A CS2 map is played under the MR12 format: first team to 13 rounds wins, so regulation lasts at most 24 rounds. At 12–12 professional play goes to overtime in sets of six rounds, three on each side, and the first team to win four rounds of a set takes the map. If a set ends 3–3, another set starts. Valorant also decides maps by rounds, so round handicaps and round totals work on the same logic.

League of Legends and Dota 2 are played in games rather than maps, and there are no rounds. A game ends when one side destroys the other's base, so markets are built on objectives and time: first blood, first tower, total kills, game length. Series are usually quoted as best-of-one, best-of-three or best-of-five, and the series format changes every total you will see.

The markets that decide most esports slips

MarketWhat it settles onWhere readers get caught
Map or game winnerThe winner of one named map or gameThe series result does not count; map two is a separate bet
Total mapsHow many maps are played in the seriesOver 2.5 in a best-of-three wins only if a decider is played
Map handicapThe series score with a head start applied-1.5 maps in a best-of-three means a 2–0 and nothing else
Round handicapThe round difference on one mapOvertime rounds count, so 16–14 fails a -3.5 line
First bloodThe first kill of the game or of a stated roundA restart can erase the kill you were paid on, or not; see below

Take a CS2 example with made-up prices: a favourite at 1.40 to win a best-of-three and 2.90 for the underdog. The implied probability of the favourite is 1 / 1.40, about 71 %. If you think the series is closer than that, over 2.5 maps is often the cleaner position, because it pays whichever team takes a map back. A round handicap on the favourite of -4.5 on its own map pick is a different bet entirely: you are betting on a margin, not a winner, and one long overtime can turn a comfortable result into a losing slip.

Remakes, technical pauses and what they do to a bet

Esports has something football does not: the match can be wound back. Tournament rules decide when that happens. A sportsbook's own terms decide what it means for your money. These are two different documents, and the second one is the one that pays you.

CS2. The tournament rulebook we read says a round is restored if a technical fault hits before any damage or significant gameplay. If damage has been done and the outcome of the round cannot be determined, the match goes back to the start of that round. If a player disconnects mid-round, the round is finished first and the game paused afterwards. Rulebooks differ by organiser, but this order of logic is the one to expect.

League of Legends. Riot's league rules use a threshold called Game of Record. In the 2018 EU LCS rulebook it is reached when an attack lands on minions, monsters, structures or champions, when the two teams see each other, when a team enters the enemy jungle, or when the clock reaches two minutes. Before that point a game can be restarted with picks and bans kept. After it, a restart needs a critical bug or unfair conditions, and officials may award the game to a team if more than 20 minutes have been played and the losing side cannot avoid defeat, for example with a gold gap above 33 %.

For crypto esports betting, the risky markets are the early ones. A first blood that happened before a restart may be settled as it stood, or voided with the replayed game used instead. Before betting on early-game lines, check the esports section of the operator's terms for:

  1. what it treats as the official result: the first game played or the one that finished;
  2. whether markets already decided before a restart stand;
  3. how long a match can be delayed or moved before bets are void;
  4. how a walkover or a forfeited map is settled.

Dates for autumn and winter 2026

Only dates the organisers have published are listed here, so you can plan a crypto esports betting bankroll around fixed points rather than rumours.

Worlds is played on US time, which puts most sessions in the European evening and night. Singapore runs eight hours ahead of GMT in December, so a session starting in the Singapore evening lands around lunchtime in London. For Dota 2, the next edition of The International had no published date when we checked; we will add it once Valve announces one. We have not listed early-2027 events because none of them had confirmed dates on the organisers' own pages.

Choosing a site for crypto esports betting

For esports the cashier rules carry more weight than usual, because a tournament weekend can mean many small withdrawals at odd hours. The operators below are ordered by the payout time printed in their own terms.

Ordered by the payout time each operator states in its terms; Bitcasino.io and Rakebit print a payout ceiling instead. Vave first.

Wild.io states 10 to 60 minutes for a withdrawal. Rainbet says 5 to 15 minutes in normal conditions, though that line is on its home page rather than in a numbered clause. Vave gives itself up to three days under clause 8.1, Rocketpot 72 hours under clause 11.3 and BetPlays up to five banking days under clause 6.6. Bitcasino.io prints a ceiling rather than a time: 1,000,000 USDT per week under clause 6.10. Rakebit caps withdrawals at €10,000 in 24 hours. Our Vave review walks through the full set of cashier clauses for the first operator in the list, and the fast payouts page compares approval times across all twelve.

One more check is specific to esports: confirm the operator actually prices the tournament you want before you deposit. Coverage of second-tier leagues varies, and a cashier funded for a qualifier is no use if the qualifier is not on the board.

Keeping long sessions in check

A best-of-five final can last most of a night, and live markets reopen after every map. That rhythm makes it easy to stake more than planned. Decide the amount for the event before the first map, keep it in a separate wallet if that helps, and stop when it is gone. If betting is no longer fun, our responsible gambling page lists the tools and the helplines. Hockey bettors face the same late-night pattern from the other side of the Atlantic; the ice hockey page covers it.

Crypto esports betting rewards the reader who checks two documents: the tournament rulebook for what can be replayed, and the operator's terms for what that does to the slip.

Esports markets are mostly in-play and mostly from a phone, which is why the live crypto betting sites board is the natural next read. The full field of crypto sportsbooks is ranked on the same terms.

Is a map handicap in CS2 the same as a round handicap?
No. A map handicap applies to the series score, so -1.5 maps means winning a best-of-three 2-0. A round handicap applies to one map, so -3.5 rounds means winning that map by four rounds or more. Overtime counts towards the round total, which is why a 16-14 overtime win fails a -3.5 line.
What happens to a first blood bet if the game is remade?
It depends on the operator's esports rules, not on the tournament. If the kill happened before the restart, a sportsbook may settle on it or void it and use the replayed game. Read the esports section of the terms for the words official result, restart and abandoned before you bet on early-game markets.
Why does crypto esports betting suit late-night matches?
A blockchain does not close at weekends or overnight, so a deposit made at two in the morning moves the same way as one made at noon. The operator's approval of a withdrawal is the slower step, and its terms say how long that can take.
When is the next big Counter-Strike event?
PGL lists its CS2 Major in Singapore from 25 November to 13 December 2026, with 32 teams and the last four days at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The grand final is a best-of-five.
Which coin is best for small esports stakes?
One whose network fee is small next to the stake, on a network the cashier actually lists. The network must match the deposit address the cashier shows, or the coins can be lost. Our guide to USDT networks explains the difference between the chains.
