Crypto Betting Apps: What You Install and What You Do Not
Mobile · Crypto sportsbooks
Most crypto betting apps are not in an app store. They are the sportsbook's mobile site, saved to your home screen, and paired with a wallet app that does the paying. Here is how the pieces fit, and what to check before a phone holds both your bets and your coins.

Crypto betting apps are rarely what the phrase suggests. Search for one in an app store and you will mostly find nothing, or something that is not a sportsbook. The reason is the stores' own rules, and the result is that betting with crypto on a phone usually means two apps working side by side: a sportsbook running in the browser and a wallet that sends the coins. This page explains each part and how to set them up so the phone is an asset rather than a weak point.
Three kinds of crypto betting apps
The mobile site. Every sportsbook in our comparison works in a phone browser. The odds, the bet slip, the cashier and the account settings are the same as on a laptop, laid out for a narrow screen. Nothing to install, nothing to update.
The home-screen web app. Most modern sportsbooks can be saved to the home screen. On iPhone that is Share, then Add to Home Screen in Safari; on Android it is the browser menu, then Install app or Add to Home screen. The site then opens from its own icon, full screen, without the address bar, and keeps you signed in. For most bettors, this is what crypto betting apps turn out to be.
The store app. Apple and Google both allow real-money betting apps only from operators licensed for each place the app is offered, and Apple also requires them to be geo-restricted and free to download. A sportsbook that serves many countries under one offshore licence often cannot meet that test everywhere, so it skips the stores. When an app does appear in a store under a sportsbook's name, check that the developer listed is the operator named in the sportsbook's terms.

By platform: our iPhone page walks through the Safari route two of these sportsbooks describe, the Android page covers APK files and a store listing that turned out not to be a sportsbook, and the Telegram page explains sign-up and official channels.
Why the browser version is usually enough
For crypto betting apps, the browser version is rarely a compromise. A sportsbook is a page of prices and a form. It needs a fast connection, not a phone's camera, sensors or offline storage. The things people expect from an app, a quick launch, staying signed in and a full-screen view, a home-screen web app already does.
There are three real differences:
- Notifications. A store app can alert you when a bet settles. Home-screen web apps support notifications on Android and on recent iPhones, but only if the sportsbook has built them.
- Updates. A web app is always the current version. A store app updates when the store approves it.
- Trust signals. A store listing shows a developer name and reviews. A web app shows a web address, which you should check every time you sign in from a new link.
Our view: install from the address you typed yourself, not from a link in a message or an advert. A home-screen icon is only as safe as the site it was saved from.
The second app: your wallet
The betting side is only half of it. Deposits and withdrawals come from a wallet app or an exchange app, and that is where the money actually sits when it is not staked.
| Wallet type | Who holds the keys | Good for | Watch for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Exchange app | The exchange | Buying coins and depositing quickly | The exchange sees every transfer; withdrawal fees vary |
| Self-custody wallet app | You, through a recovery phrase | Keeping winnings under your own control | Losing the phrase loses the coins |
| Hardware wallet with a phone app | You, on a separate device | Larger balances | Slower to move money in and out |
Whichever you use, the coin and the network must match the sportsbook's cashier. Sending USDT on one network to an address on another is the most common way to lose a deposit on a phone, because the two addresses can look alike on a small screen. Our guides to USDT networks and crypto wallets for betting cover both.

- Open the sportsbook by typing its address. Do not follow links from messages or search adverts to sign in.
- Save it to the home screen. Use the browser's own Add to Home Screen or Install option.
- Turn on two-factor authentication in the sportsbook's account settings, using an authenticator app rather than text messages where the option exists.
- Install one wallet app that supports the coin you plan to bet with, and write the recovery phrase on paper, not in the phone.
- Make a small test deposit. Check the coin, the network and the minimum in the cashier before sending a larger sum.
- Save your withdrawal address inside the sportsbook only after you have checked it character by character.
Keeping a phone that holds coins secure
A phone with a crypto betting app and a wallet on it is worth more to a thief than the handset. Four habits close most of the gap:
- A passcode and biometric lock on the phone itself, and a separate lock on the wallet app.
- No recovery phrase in screenshots, notes or cloud photos. The phrase is the wallet; anyone who sees it can empty it.
- Address checks on every withdrawal. Clipboard malware can swap a copied address for another; compare the first and last characters before confirming.
- Session limits at the sportsbook. Deposit limits and time-outs are easier to keep when the sportsbook is one tap away. Our responsible gambling page lists the tools available.
Which sportsbooks to open on a phone
Every operator in the table above works in a mobile browser, and the choice between them is the same as on a laptop: the coin you hold, how fast the terms say they pay and when they ask for documents. Wild.io states payouts in 10 to 60 minutes, which matters most when you bet on the move and want winnings back in a wallet the same evening. Rakebit lists fifteen coins, the widest cashier here. Vave sets out its withdrawal, verification and instalment rules in numbered clauses, which makes it the easiest to check from a small screen.
