The NBA plays most nights for six months, so both numbers repeat dozens of times a season, and a small difference compounds. Read the table from left to right as a checklist. The coins column shows what the cashier lists, the payout column shows the longest period the operator gives itself, and the documents column shows when it may ask who you are. The verdict is Excellent or Good and rates how plainly those rules are written, not how generous a promotion looks. A blank cell is information too: the operator has not committed to that number.
Spread, total and moneyline: what a basketball slip offers
Three markets carry most of the money on any NBA night.
- Point spread. The favourite gives points, the underdog receives them. A side at -5.5 must win by six or more; the other side at +5.5 covers with any win or a defeat by five or fewer. Half-point lines remove the tie.
- Game total. Combined points for both teams, over or under a line such as 224.5 (an example, not a live price). Pace, rest days and late injury news move it more than anything else.
- Moneyline. Who wins, overtime included at most sportsbooks. Heavy favourites pay very little here, which is why so many slips use the spread instead.
On top of those sit quarter and half lines, team totals and player markets: points, rebounds, assists and their combinations. They are popular for crypto basketball betting because a small stake on a single player feels easy to follow on a phone at midnight. They are also where the bookmaker's cut is widest, as the next section shows.
Working out the margin on a two-way line
Every decimal price hides a probability: one divided by the odds. Add those probabilities across both sides of a market and the excess over 100 % is the margin. Three examples on made-up prices, labelled as such:

The arithmetic for the moneyline row: 1 ÷ 1.40 = 71.4 % and 1 ÷ 3.10 = 32.3 %, together 103.7 %. Divide each by the total to remove the margin and the favourite's fair chance is about 68.9 %, a fair price near 1.45 against the 1.40 on offer. The pattern holds well beyond these examples, and it is the most useful habit in crypto basketball betting. The full-game spread and total on a big NBA night draw the most money, so they tend to carry the thinnest cut. Quarter lines and player markets draw less, so they are usually priced wider. The 2026/27 NBA season on a European clock
The NBA's published dates set the rhythm for crypto basketball betting this winter:
- 20 October 2026: opening night, a tripleheader. Celtics at Pistons tips off at 3 p.m. Eastern (8 p.m. in London), 76ers at Knicks at 7 p.m. Eastern (midnight in London), Thunder at Spurs at 9:30 p.m. Eastern.
- 30 October to 27 November: NBA Cup group play, then quarter-finals on 4 and 5 December, semi-finals on 8 and 9 December and the final on 11 December in Indianapolis.
- 7 November: Nuggets against Pacers in Mexico City.
- 25 December: five Christmas Day games.
- 14 and 17 January 2027: Spurs against Pelicans in Paris, then in Manchester, both on a European evening clock.
- 11 February: trade deadline. 19 to 21 February: All-Star weekend in Phoenix.
- 11 April: last day of the regular season, then the play-in from 13 to 16 April and the playoffs from 17 April.
For a reader in Britain or Ireland, a standard 7 p.m. Eastern game starts at midnight; in Central Europe it is 1 a.m. For one week the gap shrinks: the UK and most of Europe change their clocks on 25 October 2026, the US on 1 November 2026, so games in that week start an hour earlier on a European screen. Trade-deadline week is worth marking too. Rosters change in a day and prices on futures and team totals can move sharply before the news is confirmed.
Payout time: why a nightly sport needs a quick cashier
A football bettor settles a weekend slip on Sunday night; crypto basketball betting runs on a daily cycle. An NBA bettor can settle a slip every night, and the cashier's speed starts to shape the bankroll. That is why this list is ordered by what each operator writes about paying out.
Rainbet's home page says withdrawals are typically sent within 5 to 15 minutes in normal conditions; that line is homepage copy rather than a numbered clause. Wild.io states 10 to 60 minutes. Vave's terms give it up to three days under clause 8.1, Rocketpot's give it 72 hours under clause 11.3, and BetPlays allows itself five banking days under clause 6.6. Metaspins sets no processing time at all in its withdrawal section, which is why it closes the table.
Two smaller clauses matter to basketball in particular. Rocketpot lists, among its grounds for refusing a withdrawal, a deposit-to-bet pattern defined as odds of less than 1.1 under clause 11.6, so a run of heavy moneyline favourites can draw a question. Rainbet and Metaspins both expect a deposit to be wagered once before it comes back out. Neither rule is unusual; both are easier to live with when read before the first deposit. A basketball game runs a little over two hours on the screen, and a bettor often holds several slips across a night. Does an NBA bet include overtime?
Usually yes. Most sportsbooks settle the moneyline, the spread and the game total on the final score including any overtime, unless the market name says regulation time or a single quarter or half. A three-way market with a draw is the exception: it is settled after the fourth quarter, and a level score at that point makes the draw the winner. Check the basketball section of the operator's rules once and you will know which way it reads.
What is a fair margin on an NBA spread?
Divide one by each price and add the results. Two sides at 1.91 come to about 104.7 %, so the bookmaker keeps roughly 4.7 % of what is staked over time. Quarter lines and player points markets are typically wider, so compare them with the full-game line before you put a stake on them.
What time do NBA games start in Europe?
A 7 p.m. Eastern tip-off is midnight in London and 1 a.m. in Central Europe for most of the season. For one week, between 25 October and 1 November 2026, Europe has changed its clocks and the US has not, so the gap is an hour shorter. Games in Paris on 14 January 2027 and Manchester on 17 January 2027 are played on a local clock.
