Irish betting money follows a year that no other market shares: hurling and Gaelic football in summer, a March week at Cheltenham that feels like a home fixture, rugby from September to June. Crypto betting Ireland punters keep all of that and change only the wallet. The euro goes to an exchange, comes out as a coin, and the sportsbook sees USDT or bitcoin instead of a card.
The Gaelic games summer
The inter-county year runs on a split season. In 2026 the leagues began on 24 January, the provincial football championships on 11 and 12 April and the Munster and Leinster hurling championships a week later. The All-Ireland hurling final was played on 19 July and the football final on 26 July.
The 2027 calendar keeps that shape. A motion to move the football final back to August was withdrawn at Congress in February 2026, and the GAA's director general said July is where the finals stay. So for crypto betting Ireland punters the hurling and football peaks fall in a stretch of about fifteen weeks from mid-April to late July, with the two All-Ireland finals a week apart in 2026. The detailed 2027 fixture dates were not yet published when we checked.

Cheltenham is in England, but the betting is half Irish. At the 2026 Festival Irish-trained winners beat British-trained ones 15 to 13 in the Prestbury Cup, decided by the last race of the week. Willie Mullins took the Champion Hurdle with Lossiemouth and the Gold Cup with Gaelic Warrior.

Rugby and the Premier League
The United Rugby Championship began its 2026/27 season on Friday 25 September and runs 18 regular-season rounds to May 2027, with Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster all involved. That puts provincial rugby on the card from autumn to late spring.
The Six Nations cuts across it. Ireland's 2027 schedule, all times Irish time:

From euro to USDT
Most crypto betting Ireland deposits begin with a bank transfer. The road has three legs.

Networks that suit small deposits
A €20 deposit is where the network matters most, because a fixed fee eats a bigger share of a small sum.
- Solana. The base fee is 5,000 lamports per signature, which is 0.000005 SOL, plus an optional priority fee when the network is busy.
- TRON. Every account gets 600 bandwidth points over a rolling 24 hours, enough for plain TRX transfers. A USDT transfer on TRON is a smart-contract call and needs energy; if the account has none, the network burns TRX to cover it. Cheap, but not zero.
- Ethereum. A plain ETH transfer uses 21,000 gas, and the price of that gas climbs with demand. USDT on Ethereum costs more again. Fine for large deposits, poor value for small ones.

Which network is cheapest for a €20 deposit?
Solana's base fee is 5,000 lamports per signature, a tiny fraction of a cent at any plausible SOL price. TRON is also cheap for plain TRX, but a USDT transfer on TRON needs energy, so an account with none burns some TRX. Ethereum fees rise and fall with demand and are the most expensive of the three for small sums.
Do crypto sportsbooks show balances in euro?
The balance is held in the coin you sent. Some operators state their limits in euro: Rakebit caps withdrawals at €10,000 in 24 hours and BetPlays at €5,000 a week. Convert your stake to euro yourself before you bet.
How long does a payout take after a big Cheltenham win?
